Does Science Learning Work in the Virtual Environment? This is the question I posed for open dialogue amongst education stakeholders on Clubhouse. The discussions were thoughtful and prompted the sharing of practical and tangible solutions to further enhance the experiences of students learning in digital and virtual environments.
A resource often shared in enhancing the learning experiences of students in the virtual environment include the use of interactive simulations provided online. These simulations are helpful in providing students with an environment to explore scientific concepts. There are two websites that come to mind which provide invaluable opportunities for students to engage in science learning. These websites include PhET and LabXchange.
I am delighted to share on Friday, April 9th, 2021 at 9:00 pm CET (3:00 pm EST) I will host a "Virtual Simulations for Secondary Science Courses" Room on Clubhouse with LabXchange confirming attendance!
Carlos Romero, a member of the LabXchange Content Development team who also works on the simulations and interactive content will be present to share insight and address questions! This will certainly be a time to engage in meaningful discussions and conversation.
I would love for you to join our discussion on Friday!

"The reason why rivers and seas receive the homage of a hundred mountain streams is that they keep below them. Thus they are able to reign over all the mountain streams. So the sage, wishing to be above men, putteth himself below them; wishing to be before them, he putteth himself behind them. Thus, though his place be above men, they do not feel his weight; though his place be before them, they do not count it an injury.” -Lao Tzu
