Welcome to Café Prinz in Bitburg! It is a place where a love for Prince is shared and echoed through the purple royal chairs nestled in a corner in the café. Before the onset of the pandemic, you could predictably find me at this location in the morning on a Saturday or in the evening during the week to wind down, reflect, and rethink. It is a place of refuge and calm.
This location has been a “safe” space for myself and my family. I have always felt welcomed here and have shared time with friends, neighbors, and even strangers. I have laughed, cried, "vibed," toasted, hugged, prayed, studied, and learned here! I am finding the spaces we occupy must be of sincere, hospitable, and heartfelt.
Guido is always an incredible host and his mother Monica will walk in looking fabulous and eager for conversation. Of course the pandemic and lock downs inhibited being able to gather here for months on end. I missed this space and am happy to rejoin as lock downs ease! Prost 🥂

"The reason why rivers and seas receive the homage of a hundred mountain streams is that they keep below them. Thus they are able to reign over all the mountain streams. So the sage, wishing to be above men, putteth himself below them; wishing to be before them, he putteth himself behind them. Thus, though his place be above men, they do not feel his weight; though his place be before them, they do not count it an injury.” -Lao Tzu
